All About the Palm Springs Villagefest

What:  The Palm Springs Villagefest is a large-scale, lively street fair that expands through the downtown of Palm Springs, CA.  This free event was founded over 16 years ago so local artists and restaurants could show their products to the public.  Over 200 vendors display their goods in the streets, whether it’s fresh locally-grown produce or handmade treasures created by community members.  Artists offer everything from comic books to 3-D metal art and restaurants set up booths to sell coffee, desserts, and local dishes.  The Palm Springs Villagefest is perfect for families and visitors of all ages; it has something to interest everyone and is also dog-friendly!

When:  The Palm Springs Villagefest occurs every Thursday night, all year long!  From October to May, it goes from 6:00-10:00 p.m.  From June to September, it goes from 7:00-11:00 p.m.  This event is closed on the holidays of Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

Where: This attraction is located right in the heart of downtown Palm Springs and uses about three blocks of the area, spanning everything between Baristo and Amado.  The Palm Springs Villagefest extends to Palm Canyon Drive as well, whose businesses stay open later for Villagefest visitors.

Events:  Horse-drawn carriage rides are frequently available at this event, along with a rock-climbing wall for kids.  Entertainment is always provided and constantly changes from week to week; live bands, shows, and other performances are only some of the amusements you can enjoy at the Palm Springs Villagefest.
