A Vibrant City
Palm Springs has it all
August 30, 2016
Palm Springs is a great place to be over any holiday season, and Halloween is no exception. If you are the type to fore go a costume but do love a good party, or are a kid at heart who wants to be competitive and inventive with a costume, you’ll find something to tickle your fancy among the Palm Springs Halloween events. Ranging from healthy, to goofy and even sexy, your Palm Springs Halloween could be a lot of things this year, so don’t miss a chance to come celebrate with us here in the Coachella Valley, where holidays are done right!
A Halloween tradition in Palm Springs continues this year with a street party and costume contest on Arenas Road (between Indian Canyon Drive and Calle Encilia) on Saturday, October 29th from 6:00 – 10:00 pm. The main stage will feature Kristine W who has scored 16 potent #1 dance hits and a record-setting string of nine consecutive #1s on the Hot Dance Club Songs chart over the past 16 years. Performances will also include the spectacular Marina Mac, DJ BAZ, Pinkie Meringue Shimmer and the Palm Springs icon Bella da Ball as Master of Ceremonies. The event is FREE but a $5 donation is requested which goes to this years charitable organizations including Desert AIDS Project, Palm Springs Gay Men’s Chorus, Greater Palm Springs Pride and LGBT Community Center of the Desert. The Arenas Road Halloween party is a must see event!
Jekyll and Hyde is the classic story of a man driven by science to find a medical breakthrough and two beautiful women in love with him. Once Dr. Henry Jekyll makes himself the subject of his experimental treatments, Mr. Hyde is unleashed as the inner demon within him. Now in it’s 19th season, Palm Canyon Theatre is the Coachella Valley’s oldest source of live theatrical entertainment. The musical production of Jekyll and Hyde has show times on Oct 21-23 and Oct 27-31. Get your tickets on the Palm Canyon Theatre’s website here.
