Best Ways to Celebrate the 4th of July in Palm Springs

Although the temperatures are rising, there are still plenty of events in Palm Springs to celebrate the 4th of July. Here's a list of what to do in Palm Springs which will bring out the patriot in you to celebrate our nation's birth.

Power Palm Springs Baseball & Fireworks July 4

Continuing a long tradition of baseball and fireworks, the minor league Power Palm Springs baseball team will be playing an evening game at the stadium in Sunrise Park to be followed by fireworks. The game begins at 6:05 pm against Southern Nevada. The City of Palm Springs 4th of July Firework Spectacular will light up the sky at the conclusion of the game.

City of Palm Desert Independence Day Celebration July 4

Palm Desert will throw a party in honor of America’s birthday on Monday, July 4, with a free Independence Day celebration featuring live music, fireworks and more at Palm Desert Civic Center Park. The fun kicks off at 7:30pm with live entertainment. After the concert, the nighttime sky will light up at 9pm with a spectacular 20-minute-long fireworks display. Attendees are encouraged to bring picnic dinners, blankets, and chairs to enjoy the show.

Kenny Rogers in Concert July 2

Kenny Rogers will be performing at the Fantasy Springs Resort & Casino on Saturday, July 2, 2016. The enduring country and pop icon has endeared music lovers around the globe with his amazing songs, heartfelt performances, distinctive voice, gift for storytelling and universal appeal. The first country artist to consistently sell out arenas, Rogers has played to millions of fans around the world, performing songs from his long list of 24 number 1 hits.

View Fireworks From Mount San Jacinto

Get a whole new perspective on the fireworks from the mountain station at the top of the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. The world’s largest rotating tram car travels over two-and-one-half miles along the breathtaking cliffs of Chino Canyon, transporting riders to the pristine wilderness of the Mt. San Jacinto State Park. During your approximately ten-minute journey, tram cars rotate slowly, offering picturesque and spectacular vistas of the valley floor below. Once you reach the Mountain Station enjoy the fireworks plus temperatures 15-20 degrees cooler than the desert floor.
